Yes, there is still an issue. I was informed that I would receive a call from executive leadership in my region to address my concerns.
However, I never received a phone call. I have lived here for two years now and have experienced vandalism by individuals and been wrongfully lied to and mishandled. I have every reason to take legal action and will be moving forward to do so if the issue continues to not be resolved. I am a veteran and American citizen who has rights as a tenant.
Despite this unnecessary and unfortunate situation, thank you for your time. God bless.
- Location is good but without proper professionalism it is a waste
- Unprofessional and poor service rendering
Preferred solution: I would like an apology as well as proper and reasonable compensation.
User's recommendation: Don’t live here.

Verified ReviewerHorrible, unprofessional company with no authentic intention to resolve anything
Resident Beware! Not all that shines is gold!
Without a doubt this is the worst company to deal with.
Stay away from their properties. The one my family and I lived in is the worst built and worst managed community around. We have lived all over the world and this place takes challenges to a new level. Let's start by saying that we have never had a single complaint against us, never a single late payment, etc.
Here, we were forced to either change apartments or move out because management couldn't resolve our situation that kept us with little to no sleep for two months due to a combination of a neighbor that was up all night and a building with paper thin walls and floors all together.
Imagine living in a place where you can hear every noise and movement from your neighbors. Forget the right to "quiet enjoyment" afforded to you by the law. It simply doesn't exist here. Add to this a management team that is incapable of handling the situation and when they cannot, you become the target of their focus and they place all the burden on you to resolve the situation at your cost.
Disregard children in their school, your work. Any cost of any type that impacts you (emotional, financial, mental, etc...)
Add to this, there was an alarm going off for one month in the lobby every night from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM every day for an entire month. Their response, "we are waiting on a part...". Go figure that this is ok with them, again at the resident's expense.
This place is focused on shareholder return, occupation rates, bottom line revenue, and hiding reality.
The office simply never answers the phone.
If you want something, you will need to go to the office during business hours and hope you are lucky getting resolution.
We hear that there are over 30 units currently available. You wonder why people are leaving in swarms. It is a common poolside topic of conversation. Take a look at the grass next to the pool, directly in front of the office, etc.
It is horrendous.
Did we mention the bear running across the parking lot. Did people get warned about leaving food out in their cars? They are hungry. Let's see when somebody gets home one night with a bear looking for food...
Renter beware!
Go elsewhere. You will pay premium price and get a subpar product!
- Many properties
- Way too many to speak of
- Much more
- Lack of honesty
User's recommendation: STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THEIR PROPERTIES AS POSSIBLE

Verified Reviewer | San Francisco, CaliforniaLeasing Request and Report of Disrespectful Employee Conduct from Waterscape Apartments in Fairfield, CA
To Whom it May Concern,
Good Evening, My name is Natasha A Rudish. I am writing to formally request leasing assistance and to bring to your attention a matter regarding the conduct of one of your employees.
Unfortunately, I have encountered behavior that I believe is not in alignment with GreyStar standards for professionalism and customer service, which has greatly impacted my experience as a resident.
Leasing Request:
As a resident with a spine injury that severely limits my mobility and causes excruciating pain, I am seeking accommodations within the leasing process to ensure my ability to meet housing needs without undue physical strain. Any assistance or considerations you can provide in this regard, such as virtual options for lease renewals or other accessibility measures, would be greatly appreciated. My medical condition makes physical attendance for certain leasing procedures extremely difficult, and I would like to ensure that this is taken into account moving forward.
Report of Employee Conduct:
During recent interactions with your staff, I encountered an employee whose behavior was both disrespectful and dismissive. I am disappointed to report that this individual demonstrated a lack of professionalism in the following ways:
Disrespectful Tone: The employee spoke in a condescending manner during our conversations, which I found highly inappropriate and unprofessional.
Lack of Customer Service: Instead of addressing my concerns in a timely and courteous manner, the employee seemed uninterested in resolving the issues I raised, further complicating an already stressful situation for me.
As someone managing a painful and limiting physical condition, I rely heavily on clear, respectful communication from management, and this behavior has made it more challenging for me to address my housing needs.
It is my sincere hope that this matter can be investigated and that steps will be taken to ensure that future interactions with your staff meet the high standards of customer service that GreyStar is known for.
I appreciate your attention to both my leasing request and this report of employee misconduct. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of these matters.
Sincerely,
Natasha A Ridosh

Verified Reviewer | Atlanta, Georgia"Dispute of Unjust Charges and Rude Service Encounter"
I am writing to formally address an issue I encountered regarding my recent lease at Westone Apartments in Durham. I lived in the apartment for six months while my home was being built, and upon leaving, I agreed to pay two months' worth of fees.
I fulfilled that agreement and moved into my new home.
However, three months after moving out, I received an unexpected call from a Greystar representative. The person was extremely rude and demanded that I pay for a full year of rent because I allegedly missed one months payment.
While I am willing to resolve the issue and pay for the missed month, I do not agree to being charged for an entire year, as this was never part of our agreement.
During the call, I attempted to discuss the matter and offer payment for the missed month, but the representative refused to accept it and then abruptly hung up on me.
I kindly ask for a resolution to this situation and request a detailed explanation of the charges. I am prepared to settle any legitimate outstanding amounts but will not agree to paying for an additional year that I did not authorize.
User's recommendation: Keep record all payment for future complaint

Verified Reviewer | Sausalito, CaliforniaFalse advertising and under delivering
I rented a 2-bedroom apartment which is, in fact, one bedroom with an extra door added to the living room to make it appear like 2 bedrooms. I was in a rush when renting and didn't pay close attention to the fact that the second bedroom doesn't have a window.
Now that the city has ordered them to remove the extra door, Greystar is not willing to offer me a fair deal. The management is very poor and unprofessional, which makes it difficult to have a reasonable conversation with them. Lucine Proctor, SF regional manager, offered to move me to another unit that doesn't have this issue and then withdrew her offer 2 hours later.
Very rude of them. Additionally, the complex has many other management issues such as trash everywhere and a broken elevator every other day.
- Are lucky at getting nice complexes
- Rude culture
- Poor management
- Customer care is the last priority
Preferred solution: Full refund

Verified Reviewer | Charlotte, North CarolinaThey took me money under false pretenses
I am a disabled woman with a minor child. I was supposed to be out of where I'm currently living with my child weeks ago.
An untrained lady stated that they accept housing choice vouchers (section). However, a day later, when the manager assisted me in completing my application, she stated they would not be able to accept my voucher. She reversed what was previously stated, saying it'll take about a week. Lies!
They aim to get you tangled in their web of nonsense! My situation is very much an emergency! They stated all situations are handled the same, and I have to wait 30-45 days for a paper check.
They refused to give me anyone's information. Every number I called for days went unanswered, and they won't give me emails.

I did not receive my $200 back when my application was not approved.
I have yet to receive my $200 whole fee for the apartment that I applied for at the Mosaic in Largo Maryland. I have been to the office and have spoken with the leasing supervisor.
I was informed that the accounting department was having a problem issuing the $200 hole fee.. at this point Im very disappointed and not pleased at all.
User's recommendation: Make sure you understand that you may not receive your $200 apartment hold fee back

Verified ReviewerRe-hire
I have been trying to get in contact with Greystar's HR department for over six months. I was a previous employee back in 2022 in Sacramento, California.
I submitted a two weeks' notice to my manager and she did not let me work the two weeks, sending me home the same day or the next day.
I have applied to about five different jobs with Greystar this year and they all have come back unsuccessful. It wasn't until one of the managers let me know that I was ineligible for rehire, suggesting that I should get in contact with HR.
Preferred solution: Someone to get in contact with me on the status of me being eligible for rehire or not.

Verified ReviewerRe-hire
Ive been trying to get in contact with Greystars HR department for over 6 months with no results.
I was labeled as a non rehire by my previous manager for submitting a 2 weeks notice. She did not let me work my 2 weeks and sent me home mid-day. I was unaware I was ineligible for rehire until I applied for a new job this year.
I simply would like to know why and if this could be resolved.
Preferred solution: Someone to contact me on why I was labeled ineligible for rehire
Resolved: 3 yrs of random flooding from upstairs units (2).
Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Meeting with all the records necessary with management solved my issues
Records show flooding issues from almost 3 years back. Dozens of small ones are now present because the units above me are occupied.
Every rinse cycle floods my unit's (ground floor) laundry area. The unit is damp. I'm 71 years old, don't walk well, and I'm afraid of a fall. I've had 2 episodes in the past eighteen months.
I lost all my lower teeth on one occasion.
Please help. I pay on time but get no results.
- It needs repairs not patches
Preferred solution: Fix the problem correctly and quickly work out some form of credit on rent for the mitigation work I did at least 10 times
User's recommendation: Ask for the maintenance reports on unit flooding in particular

Let's not bring skin color into this. That is irrelevant.
If someone is a thief, they don't care who you are or what you look like. Do you pay online?
Surely your bank could tell you where your money is going to. Obviously, I don't know what is going on, but this is not something that is going to make you rich.
