GreyStar Continually Trying to Collect Money
Laura, from Washington St office has called several times to collect money. A "final bill" supposedly that I have paid once already.
She has been rude and hung up on me. She would not explain anything about the bill she would just say it was for water and pest control. I had already paid that and the check cleared. I told her that so she hung up.
I remained calm and called her back and she was still as rude as ever. She also assumed my address was the the appartment I moved out of. I have given them the new address.
I am wondering if it is a scam but I do have her number. If you need a POC; Laura's office number is 425-329-****.

Squirrels and Rat infestation in Orange Park,FL
NOW THE PROPERTY MANAGER WAS TOLD OF THIS MATTER SEVERAL TIMES FACE TO FACE AND BY EMAILS *** COUNTLESS BEGGING, CRYING, YOU NAME IT I HAVE DONE IT... I GAVE HER SEVERAL CHANCES.... WAITED PATIENTLY UNTIL I HAD TO EXPLODE AND ACT LIKE A FOOL IN ORDER TO GET THINGS DONE. I WROTE NICE THINGS ABOUT THE PROPERTY MAMAGEMENT TEAM, I THANK THEM ALL THE TIME OF THE COUNTLESS FAST RESPONSES FROM SCREWING A LIGHT BULB TO FIXING A SINK. THE EASY STUFF THEY FELT SAFE RESPONDING TO. I MOVED IN MAY AND NOT EVEN A FULL MONTH AND THE NOISES DISTURBANCES ALREADY STARTED. I EVEN WENT TO THE MANAGEMENT OFFICE AND TOLD THEM TO TELL THE WOMAN UPSTAIRS TO PLEASE CALM HER DOG DOWN BECAUSE THE DOG KEPT RUNNING BACK ND FORTH AND I CANT SLEEP I WORK NIGHTS. THE NOISE KEPT GOING ON AND ON...WENT TO THEM AGAIN... THEY SAID OK MISS REID WE WILL LET HER KNOW... THEY KNEW THAT WOMAN DID NOT HAVE A DOG, IT WAS SQUIRRELS RUNNING IN THE CEILING. I CONFRONTED THE WOMAN UPTAIRS AND SHE SAID THAT THE PERSON WHO USED TO LIVE IN YOUR APARTMENT HAD THE SAME ISSUES AND HE COMPLAINED ALL THE TIME. SO I ASKED HER IF SHE EVER COMPLAINED, SHE SAID YES... WE ALL HAVE AND NOTHING WAS DONE. THE MAN WHO USED TO LIVE N THIS APARTMENT TOLD ME THAT YOUR GONNA HAVE A HARD TIME LIVING IN THAT APARTMENT AND I AM SO SORRY YOU GOT YHE APARTMENT. YOU SEEM LIKE A NICE WOMAN... I AM SO SORRY MAM! THIS STILL MAKES ME LAUGH UNTIL THIS DAY!!!!!! THE PROPERTY MANAGEMENT TEAM SENT THE HEAD OF MAINTENANCE TO CHECK OUT MY APARTMENT BECAUSE I HEARD AND STILL HEAR SCREECHING, SCRATCHING AND THE SQUIRRELS ARE SHARPENING THERE TEETH ON THE WOOD BEHIND THE WALLSHE CAME IN CLAIMS HE DONT HEAR ANYTHING OR SEE ANYTHING AND HE CHECKED ALL AROUND THE APARTMENT.. NO ENTRY FOR SQUIRRELS OR RATS. EACH TIME. IM STILL HEARING IT AND I AM STILL SEEING IT. MOVING FOWARD..... AND BELIEVE ME I GOT A LOT MORE TO SAY... I WILL COME BACK TO THIS STORY...LOOK AT THE ELECTRICAL METER... LOOKS REAL GOOD RIGHT? LOOK AT IT NOW!!!!NOW I SAY TO YOU!!!! WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU WERE IN MY SHOES... LETS SAY YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THIS TYPE OF THING AND YOU POINTED OUT EVERYTHING.. YOU DID ALL THE WORK POINTING OUT HOLES... WHERE THE SQUIRRELS OR RATS ARE ENTERING ... YOU TOOK PICTURES AND EVERYTHING... AND INSTEAD OF GETTING A PROFESSIONAL RAT/SQUIRREL TRAPPER...YOU WENT THE CHEAPO WAY AND GOT INEXPERIENCE MAINTENANCE MEN TO TRAP THE RATS AND LET THEM GO BACK ON THE SITE AND WATCH THEM GO BACK THROUGH THE DRYER HATCH... YES LADIES AND GENTLEMEN... THEY WERE IN MY WASHER AND DRYER HOSE INSTEAD OF DRIVING THEM OFF THE PROPERTY. YES FOLKS I SWEAR ON EVERYTHING I LOVE AND HOLD DEAR... I SAW THE MAINTENANCE MAN GOT THE SMALL TRAP.. TRAPPED ONE SQUIRREL AND HELD THE CAGE UP.. OPEN UP THE CAGE AND LET THE SQUIRREL OUT AND THE SQUIRREL CLIMBED UP THE WALL AND WENT BACK IN THE HOLE WHERE THE DRYER SMOKE COMES OUT OF.
1) I EMAILED CONSTANTLY AND THE EMAILS TURNED FROM THANK YOU TO A *** YOU. 2) I TOOK PHOTOS, I SENT EMAILS OF MY FINDINGS OF THE PROBLEM AREAS.. TOLD HER TO TELL THE CONTRACTORS WHERE *** THE PROFESSIONALS SHE FINALLY GOT AFTER 6 MONTHS***** TO GO AND WHAT TO DO... OH WAIT THERES MORE? BE PATIENT!!!! BECAUSE I WILL FILL YOU IN ON HOW I CAME TO THIS DREADFUL *** PLACE. THEY DID RENOVATIONS ON A RAT AND SQUIRREL INFESTED BUILDING.
COMMON SENSE EXIST BUT NOT EVERYONE HAS IT...
EVERYONE KNOWS SQUIRRELS ARE TERRITORIAL. ONCE THEY GET A HOLD OF YOUR PLACE... YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO LEAVE IT... THEY ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!!! UNLESS YOU GO IN THE ROOF GUT THE WALLS GET THEM OUT CLEAN THE LITTER, KILL THE SMELL WITH REMOVING THE PADDING AND SEAL THE HOLES AND MESH IT WITH CHICKEN WIRE. A PROFESSIONAL KNOWS WHAT TO DO. DID THEY DO THAT? .........................
WHAT THEY DID WAS SEAL THE SQUIRRELS IN THE BUILDING AND THEY CHEWED THERE WAY OUT!!!! THATS WHERE THE HOLES ARE... HERES THE THING I HEARD THE GRINDINGTHIS IS BUILDING 28 !!!!! I GOT MORE STORIES FOR YOU!!!! KEEP IT HERE!!! I WONT BE ABLE TO TELL YOU WHICH BUILDING THIS IS JUST YET!!! YOU WILL KNOW SOON. BECAUSE I BELIEVE THE PROPERTY MANAGER NEVER FIXED THE HOLES BECAUSE SHE IS HOPING I WOULD LEAVE. SHE IS LEAVING THEM OPEN AS A FORM OF RETALIATION. THIS IS JUST MY OPINION. SHE SENT ME AN EMAIL THAT IF I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH HER AND HER STAFF I CAN LEAVE!!!... DO YOU THINK I PAID ALL THIS MONEY TO MOVE *** WHICH IS A LOT I MIGHT ADD**** AND TO PAY AGAIN TO LEAVE!****** MY ANSWER IS *** ARE YOU CRAZY!!! lol JUST FIX THE PROBLEM.. BUT THE TEA ON THIS BUILDING IS... MY BUILDING IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THE RAT AND SQUIRREL ISSUE... STAY TUNED...

Greystar - Apartment Rental Review from Los Angeles, California
I had the pleasure (sarcasm strongly implied) of having Greystar take over management for my apartment complex, The Preston on the Miracle Mile in Los Angeles, after I had already been living in the complex under my current lease for about 6 months. There are renovations that have been months and months behind schedule that were residual from the last management company and their contractor, but now that Greystar has taken over, they have decided to plow through with the renovations, one of which is to completely tear out and refloor both our pool and jacuzzi in JUNE. So their brilliant decision making has left already very angry tenants without an entire pool area including grills, fire pits, and all of the lounging area for a bare minumum of HALF A MONTH in one of the peak summer months for using those facilities. We were given very little notice, finding out by email on FRIDAY May 29th at around 6pm that it would start MONDAY JUNE 1st. This was cleverly done so that we would only have weekend days before it began which made it nearly impossible to voice our outrage with the decision!!! They also renovated our gym and have left us without dumbbells which were in the old version, promising us for months they are coming (they have not). With the absolute lack of power they have given any of the people who actually are on property, we are left helpless to the management/ownership somewhere far far away. We get to continue to pay our high rent with little to bad communication, while they "improve" for future tenants down the road.
Greystar, it has not been a pleasure knowing you, and I will be more than happy when my lease is up in October to leave this property, and continue spreading the word to everyone I know about your company. This has absolutely been expressed multiple times to the management in the front office, but they are powerless to help, because your upper management/ownership is making the bad decisions with ZERO interest in the people currently paying and residing at the Preston.
I'm attaching current (JUNE 9th, 2015 to be exact) photos of the pool and jacuzzi which are drained with the floors all ground up and spray paint markings everywhere. All of this area is CLOSED!!!!
I'm not surprised your reviews seem bad overall. Good riddance to you when my lease is up.

I called the office and there was a epidemic of bed bugs all over palm trails, and I went and asked for help, I did everything that I was asked to do. Burns Unit brought by a beagle and he hit on bedbugs.
No ***, I had been being ate up for months. Roger forget to place the order, long story short, they were new owners and I had lived there for 5 years. No problem until Greystone took over. An acquaintance went to pay her rent and asked if it was true about me and the bed bugs.
And she said "yes". Who the *** does she think she is. That is confidential, she talks about everyone, *** poor run.
Drugs all over that complex, they were told and their still slinging a sack. Shame on her.

Greystar Properties Property Management Service Review from Montgomery, Alabama
I want to the office about the picnic area in front of my patio on Friday the 24 at 3:00p.m. I was assured by the maintenance personnel that he sold take care of it.
I also spoke the Ms. Emily she also assured me that Benjamin would take of it. I feel that my request was ignored. I also took pictures of the dumpster which was ridiculously full so full the residents put all their trash in front of the dumpster.
I pay too much to live in these conditions.
I will be going back to the office to complain once again. Thank you

We spoke over the phone today for a few minutes but our conversations didn't go very well because first we didn't agree with the total facts of what was going on and secondly you seemed upset in the end.
My friendly advice is that don't be please because if you knew what happened to me by your property management, you probably kill yourself. If your race is white, I am in the safe zone but you are Spanish, I am dead because I lived at your property for 14 years without blames paying my rent a year in advance and kept the property intact and clean and never disturbed any neighbor. However, all the white managers left and the building was sold and the management replaced by racist Spanish individuals who to end their kinds. That was the time my problems began because the new management prefer ethnicity than characteristic and caused me so much pain.
I have the police reported case numbers to describe what happened to me. For your records, I moved out the apartment March 31 not April after I notified to the management and Housing Authority 60 days in advance. Yes, I have all evidences in my hands. You also owe me $199 security deposit and plus $900.00 credit from the annual overpaid rent because never expected I woud move out from that premises any time soon, was no I lived for 14 years?
There was no any reason to move out untill you gave us racist tribatribals. What I like to say is provide your claims through your attorney, I will mine and there is no any reason to be upsetting. Remember that the security deposit was in the lease agreement so check that, plus the over payment was through my cheking bank account meaning there is a record.
I am sure that if you are white, you will be thoughtful and understanding and reasoning because education is a part of culture, nothing to do with racism. I REST MY CASE, LOVELY LADY AND GOOD DAY
Can any body some thing about Graystar Management, it is out of control hurting poor people.
